(Format used for this read: Print–paperback)

Cash Carter is the young, world famous lead actor of the hit television show Wiz Kids. When four fans jokingly invite him on a cross-country road trip, they are shocked that he actually takes them up on it. Chased by paparazzi and hounded by reporters, this unlikely crew takes off on a journey of a lifetime–but along the way they discover that the star they love has deep secrets he’s been keeping. What they come to learn about the life of the mysterious person they thought they knew will teach them about the power of empathy and the unbreakable bond of true friendship.

I mentioned awhile back how much I friggin LOVE Chris Colfer.

Just to refresh yalls memories, I fell in adoration with him when I saw him as Kurt in the TV show “Glee” and then AGAIN when I read his Land Of Stories book series.

(Those of yall that love fairy tale retellings, young adult books, and magic ABSOLUTELY MUST READ THOSE BOOKS!)

This child is just SUCH a talented creative! (okay I know he is a full grown ass adult, but he is etched into my brain as the teen on that show and even though he is in his early 30s, he will forever and ever live young rent free in my brain)

He sings! He dances! He acts! He WRITES!

And damn.

He is hella good at ALL. OF. IT.

Does that make him a quadruple threat?

Probably a quintuple threat because he is also ADORABLE AF too.

(not like that is a talent or anything but STILL…it should be acknowledged 🤣)

This was a book I purchased in my bargain book haul from Books a Million over the holidays that I mentioned to yall a couple reviews ago…..

and WOOHOO this was ANOTHER one I completely loved!

I need to have a YA “palette cleanser” sometimes when I read something more serious…

Or just depending on life events and circumstances.

I had an extended weekend girls trip to Vegas and I did NOT want ANYTHING heavy or adult focused to read while traveling…or while having a cocktail🤣

This book was PERFECT for the plane!

While there WERE some big feelings and issues in this story, it still was a quick and easy read.

I love the way Chris Colfer can write about pretty serious topics in such a conversational, down to earth, relatable way.

I did shed a few tears I can not lie…there are some BIG THINGS going on in those pages, yall…..but no heavy sobs to account for!

Such a fun premise for a book…..

4 self proclaimed nerdy teenage friends going on an after gradution/before college/one last hurrah road trip across the country….and the star of the TV show they are all OBSESSED with actually shows up to travel the ENTIRE THING with them.

OMG….the absurdity and the absolute fantasy of it all!

But the teens AND the celebrity are all going thru their own personal battles….and trying to come to grips with their various realities….and the journey they have together–both figuratively AND literally—is not only entertaining to “watch” but also heartwarming as well.

I have to stay cryptic AF on this one because I don’t wanna give ANYTHING away….but I did really like this one, my friends.

Chris Colfer, I am STILL one of your biggest fans!
